No. It is not. Immediately after an accident, you are dealing with unexpected physical injuries and economic loss. You do not need the stress of unknown attorneys and their staff or “runners” contacting you to get your case. These phone calls and solicitations only add to the strain that you are already experiencing. These actions are inappropriate; attorneys are not allowed to do this. Many people do not realize that this is illegal and end up retaining the unscrupulous attorney. You have the right to find your own attorney.

You can look it up yourself. These are often public records that you can look up yourself by going to the Clerk of Court for the appropriate county. Below are links to the Clerk of Court for Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County

WRONGFUL DEATH

In these types of cases, Collazo Law Firm will represent you on a contingency fee basis, which means you only pay us if and when we win your case. Our fee would then come in the form of a percentage of the settlement or verdict amount we obtain. By law, for the most part, all wrongful death cases in Florida are handled in this manner.

This is one of the questions that we get asked the most. Although we pride ourselves on always being straightforward and transparent, we cannot give you a dollar amount without knowing the facts of the case. Every wrongful death is different and has its distinct circumstances and facts. As such, each wrongful death case has its own value based on the facts, the circumstances and that law. We know that this is not the answer you need to hear during this extremely difficult time.
You have our word that we will investigate, analyze, strategize, plan, to quickly and efficiently determine the amount that you deserve.

The amount of damages depend on the circumstances surrounding each case. However, under Florida law, you may be able to recover economic damages, non-economical damages, and punitive damages.
